What an incredible experience at the St. Pete Science Festival on February 7th and 8th, 2025! We had the privilege of introducing K-12 and high school students to one of the fundamental skills in biotechnology—the use of micropipettes. Watching their excitement as they mastered this technique was truly rewarding. 

The Florida Association of Science Teachers (FAST) Annual Conference held on the 24th and 25th October, 2024 was an incredible opportunity to introduce teachers to the Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) and provide them with firsthand knowledge and hands-on experience in biotechnology education. 

The ABE Tampa Professional Development Institute on September 14th, 16th, and 23rd, 2024, was a resounding success, furthering our mission to expand student engagement in scientific practices through hands-on biotechnology labs with real-world applications. 

Last February (Feb 9 and 10, 2024) we attended the St. Pete Science Festival. We focused on training future scientists on one of the most important skills in Biotechnology - the correct use of the micropipettes! Our tent was a success, and we hope to have a bigger space for next year, so more people can have a fun day doing Pipetting Art!

 

 

In February, Tampa ABE presented at the St. Pete Science Festival for two days. We met so many wonderful people and taught them about our program.
