FAST Conference
The Florida Association of Science Teachers (FAST) Annual Conference held on the 24th and 25th October, 2024 was an incredible opportunity to introduce teachers to the Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) and provide them with firsthand knowledge and hands-on experience in biotechnology education.
We hosted two dynamic sessions, both of which were well attended and reached educators from new districts—expanding our impact across the region. The enthusiasm was undeniable, as teachers who attended have already signed up to implement the Introduction to Biotechnology sequence in their classrooms.
Our participation in FAST will continue to be a key recruitment strategy, allowing us to connect with passionate educators eager to bring hands-on biotechnology labs to their students. We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to empowering even more teachers in the years to come!
