ABE is Presenting CRISPR/Cas9 Genome Editing Technology during National Science Week

The theme for National Science Week 2023 is "Transforming lives through the evidence-based science”. National Science Week takes place annually in the first week of August and aims to engage students in STEM learning as part of the Science Engagement Strategy to develop a society that is knowledgeable about science, is scientifically literate and able to form opinions about science. ABE is excited to present CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technology to over 200 learners in grades 8-11 visiting the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre this week. The presentation is followed by a practical activity to extract DNA from strawberries.
