The Second professional development institute of 2026 will take place on the 16th of June 2026. It will be held remotely. The training will cover infusion of LabXchange for Lab 1.1: How to Use a Micropipette and Laboratory 1.2: Gel Electrophoresis from Chapter 1 of Foundations of Biotech.

The first professional development institute of 2024 will take place on Saturday the 24th of February 2024 at Sci-Bono Discovery Centre. We will be conducting 'Laboratory 1.1: How to Use a Micropipette' and 'Laboratory 1.2: Gel Electrophoresis' from Chapter 1 of Foundations of Biotech.   

This event will take place on Saturday, 16 September 2023 from 9:00-16:00 at the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre and will be split into 2 sessions.  An introduction to the ABE curriculum will take place from 9:00-11:00, followed by a 1-hour lunch break. Thereafter, the subject advisors will give a presentation on aligning the ABE and CAPS curricula and PDI will run from 12:00-16:00.
