The Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) is an innovative science education program that empowers teachers to bring biotechnology to their classrooms. ABE provides teacher professional development, curriculum materials, and research-grade equipment and supplies to secondary schools.

The ABE site Italy is the result of a partnership agreement between ANISN (National Association of Natural Science Teacher) and the University of Naples Federico II and it relies on international cooperation with a consolidated American and European network of ABE sites, which have been active for decades in prestigious Universities and teacher training centers.

"The strongest point of this project is that both teachers (first) and students (then) have the great opportunity of a “hands-on” laboratory experience that helps to build up their “minds-on” understanding of the fundamental concepts of biology and biotechnology." - ABE project representatives for ISS Pitagora, Pozzuoli (NA)

LabXchange is a free scientific education platform, created at Harvard University with support from the Amgen Foundation. The platform makes it possible to explore scientific content from sources all over the world, to remix content that is available on LabXchange (library) with one's own private content, and to share ideas with a small group or a larger community.
