Let's Be a Scientist project closing event

Science, education, and communication: the heart of the Let's Be a Scientist! project. The 2026 edition concluded with the Final Project Presentations at the headquarters of the Scuola Superiore Meridionale. The six students, selected from numerous applications, presented the results of their ten-day residential internship at the laboratories of the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine (TIGEM), which allowed them to showcase their findings and reflect on the value of research and the importance of science in today's world. Promoted by ABE Italy in collaboration with the Scuola Superiore Meridionale and TIGEM, the project once again demonstrated how investing in young people means creating real opportunities for growth, bringing them closer to the world of international research. A unique experience for six talented students who proved that, when given the right conditions, the new generations can express their full potential with enthusiasm, curiosity, and critical thought.
