To promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the field of biotechnology, the day began with the “ABE Exchange” warm-up activity. This activity created a collaborative learning environment where participants shared surprising insights in biotechnology, discussed challenges encountered in schools, and proposed solutions.
ABE Program Reaches 1 Million Students!
Today, we celebrate the milestone of reaching 1 million students across 16 countries through the Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) program! We commemorated this significant achievement with a special event held at Gazi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.
First Face-to-Face ABE Türkiye Teacher Meeting Held at METU!
On Sunday, May 12, 2024, the first face-to-face ABE Türkiye Teacher Meeting was held at METU Biological Sciences Department. In addition to ABE teachers, guest teachers, METU students who provided support to the program within the scope of the community service course, and the ABE Türkiye project team attended the meeting.
ABE Teacher Community Continues to Grow!
Following our online welcome meeting on July 16, ABE Phase I Izmir Teacher Training was held with 21 new teachers from Afyonkarahisar, Ankara, Denizli, Izmir, Kirklareli and Manisa at Karşıyaka Aydoğan Yağcı Science and Art Center on July 20-21, 2024.

ABE TURKIYE BIOETHICS TEACHER TRAINING COMPLETED
The face-to-face ABE Turkiye Bioethics Teacher Training was completed on January 14, 2024 at the Middle East Technical University (METU) Biological Sciences Department İn Ankara.
Ethics and Bioethics Practices Implemented at Merkez Exam College: Collaboration of Our Teachers Süleyman Atilla and Gizem Sarıyıldız with Philosophy Faculty
Our ABE teachers Süleyman Atilla and Gizem Sarıyıldız collaborated with the philosophy teachers of their school and carried out Ethics and Bioethics implementations at Central Sınav College. With these implementations, our ABE teachers reached a total of 164 students from the 9th, 10th and 11th grade levels.
