ABE Türkiye Kicks Off the New Term with a Strong Start

The ABE Türkiye team launched the 2025–2026 academic year with ABE teachers and school administrators, ensuring a well-prepared and motivated beginning for all participants.

Ahead of the upcoming classroom implementations, the ABE Türkiye project team organized a series of online meetings to share recent updates, guide teachers in planning their classroom activities, and introduce school administrators to the scope and objectives of the ABE Program.
Through these sessions, both teachers and administrators entered the new academic year informed, engaged, and ready to inspire their students.

On September 15–16, around 50 teachers participated in the planning meetings. These sessions provided updates on the project, outlined the roadmap for the upcoming classroom implementations, and introduced the support mechanisms available for teachers.
Participants also shared their classroom plans and implementation ideas, facilitating peer learning and collaboration within the ABE community. Thus, the meetings served not only as an informative platform but also as a space that strengthened cooperation and solidarity among teachers.

In addition, on September 17, a separate online session was held for school administrators. With the participation of most members of the project team, the session presented a detailed overview of the ABE Program’s scope, its national and international partnerships, and the activities carried out in Türkiye.
The session also underlined the vital role of school administrators in supporting ABE teachers’ classroom practices — emphasizing school-level ownership and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the program.

These meetings provided an important foundation for the new academic year, empowering teachers and school administrators to begin the term with confidence, enthusiasm, and a shared commitment to advancing biotechnology education in Türkiye.
