ABE Turkiye Team Held a Meeting with the Participating Teachers to Make Plannings before the 2nd Term Classroom Practices!

ABE Turkiye team came together with participating teachers to make plannings and share current news of the program before the 2nd term classroom practices of the 2022-23 academic year.

A total of 24 teachers attended the online meetings held in two groups on Monday, February 27 and Wednesday, March 1.

The Impacts of the Earthquake on Students, Teachers and Classroom Structures were Discussed

The meeting, which started with teachers' sharings about the impact of earthquake on themselves, classroom structures and their students, continued with discussions on the types of the outcomes that education should focus on apart from academic success. While some of them talked about how they were informed about the psychological measures to be taken after the earthquake, some teachers stated that they could not get enough information.

What psycho-social support practices could be implemented within the scope of post-earthquake recovery activities, what kind of solidarity and exchanges we could make as a team, and our expectations after the hard days we passed were among the topics discussed at the beginning of the meeting.

Class Implementation Plannings for the 2nd Term of the 2022-23 Academic Year were Discussed

Details on how to fill the ABE Implementation Planning Form, where implementation details are entered, were discussed. Teachers' opinions were received regarding the challenges encountered in the ABE Kit Management Process. The questions, Why do I want to continue? What are the points that I want to improve myself? What do I want to do with my teacher friends?, were asked to hear the feelings, concerns and questions of the participant teachers about the second term.
