ABE Program Reaches 1 Million Students!

1 mlyn

Today, we celebrate the milestone of reaching 1 million students across 16 countries through the Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) program! We commemorated this significant achievement with a special event held at Gazi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.

The event, held on September 19, 2024, at Gazi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, featured the participation of prominent representatives from institutions that significantly contribute to scientific education in Turkey, including Amgen Turkey, Kalkınma Atölyesi, and METU BILTEMM, as well as teachers and students actively involved in the ABE program. On this meaningful day, our students had the opportunity to apply what they have learned with their teachers, sharing their experiences with us. Following these hands-on activities, both students and teachers reflected on the impact of the ABE program based on their personal experiences.

The ABE program provides young people with invaluable experiences in biotechnology, enhancing not only their scientific knowledge but also fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Educators, teachers, and supporters of the program play a crucial role in guiding younger generations toward a future grounded in scientific knowledge and technology. In this process, ABE teachers also play an essential role in making complex biotechnology topics accessible and engaging, thereby sparking students' scientific curiosity and encouraging them to envision themselves as the scientists of tomorrow.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to this tremendous achievement, particularly to the teachers who bring the ABE program to life in their classrooms each day. The laboratory work conducted by our students vividly demonstrates how this program makes scientific education more accessible and inspiring. The opportunities provided by ABE continue to strengthen young people’s connection to science and motivate them to become the scientists of the future.

We sincerely thank all stakeholders who contributed to this meaningful accomplishment, our dedicated ABE teachers, and the students who illuminate the future with the light of science.
