The ABE sessions at the Florida Association of Science Teachers (FAST) Conference held on the 23rd - 25th of October at Orlando, were a great success! Our sessions drew enthusiastic participation from teachers who showed strong interest in bringing biotechnology into their classrooms.
During the workshop, participants engaged in Lab 1 activities, gaining hands-on experience with research-grade biotechnology tools. The teachers demonstrated impressive curiosity, collaboration, and excitement as they explored how to implement these labs with their own students.
It was inspiring to see the level of engagement and readiness among educators to integrate real-world biotech practices into their teaching. Many shared plans to use these lessons to enhance inquiry-based learning and expose students to authentic science experiences.
Overall, the conference provided an excellent platform to connect with educators, promote biotech literacy, and support the mission of empowering teachers and students through Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE).
