The ABE Illinois site at Harry S Truman College (TR), one of the City of Chicago Colleges, is in the diverse Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, IL. It is also a Hispanic-serving institution. The fully renovated bioscience labs, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and facilities, make TR an ideal location for the ABE program.

By equipping teachers with knowledge and training, TR aims to strengthen science education at the high school level, empowering educators to introduce advanced concepts and technologies to their students. The knowledge and skills these teachers acquire will be passed on to their students, creating a ripple effect of educational benefits.

The ultimate goal of the ABE Illinois site is to bridge the gap between secondary education and higher education by providing students with a more seamless transition into advanced scientific studies and the workforce.
