Scientific Discovery for the Classroom

ABE Hong Kong is led by the Biotechnology Education Association (BTEA) and is currently based at Yan Oi Tong Tin Ka Ping Secondary School. The ABE Hong Kong program is designed to enhance the Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) Biology curriculum by integrating biotechnology into classroom learning. It bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice and serves as a key component of STEM education, fostering students’ interest in science and enabling them to experience real world science.

The ABE program has changed the way I learn biology. Apart from studying pictures in the textbook, I am now able to work with the ‘real’ experiments that scientists do every day.
